Vernissage of La Forêt de l’Âme

Bangkok, August 9, 2025


On the evening of August 9th, at 17:00, the vernissage of La Forêt de l’Âme welcomed guests into a world where nature, spirit, and the inner forest quietly intertwined. The exhibition, presented at Ground Bangkok in collaboration with Arts de Siam, Pixcera, and Maisonmuses, marked Thai–Japanese artist Miyabi’s most ambitious undertaking to date.


The opening night was filled with warmth, conversation, and reflection. Joe Hisaishi inspired Jazz was playing in the background while guests were invited to wander through works that carried boldness yet gentle. Oil paintings, ceramics, and mixed media pieces layered with subtle cultural and spiritual references. Birds, as central figures of the exhibition, stood as timeless messengers and companions, guiding visitors through themes of extinction, memory, and renewal.


The exhibition was officially opened when A highlight of the evening was the opening address delivered by Dr. Boripat Siriaroonrat (@eldsdeer), whose words reminded all present of the urgent need to protect the natural world. His speech, both inspiring and deeply personal, underscored the heart of La Forêt de l’Âme: a reminder that what disappears from nature often mirrors what disappears within us when left unseen.


The exhibition was officially opened when Dr. Boripat Siriaroonrat (@eldsdeer) took the floor, his presence commanding both warmth and respect. In his opening address, he reminded all present of the urgent need to protect the natural world. Going on to recall his time with Miyabi, being her mentor in her environmental studies throughout her youth, Miyabi's love for nature is revealed. His words, inspiring and deeply personal, underscored the heart of La Forêt de l’Âme: a reminder that what disappears from nature often mirrors what disappears within us when left unseen.

In her own speech, Miyabi discussed the concept of the exhibition, what came to inspire her, the important role of nature, spirit, and mind in her works, as well as her deep rooted appreciation for culture, wildlife, and the law of attraction. Furthermore, she expressed her gratitude to Arts de Siam for their trust, belief, and their generous invitation for Miyabi to exhibit her work, Ground Bangkok for their stunning venue, and to her family and the dedicated team at Pixcera Gallery for their unwavering support.


The evening was made even more special through the support of generous partners. Sponsors @moosecider and @freshmade.bkk infused the atmosphere with a celebratory spirit, while @idocatering offered beautifully prepared curated bites and drinks that delighted guests throughout the night, reflecting the cuisines of countries that are personal to Miyabi - Italy, France, Japan, and Thailand.



La Forêt de l’Âme runs until September 9th, open daily except Tuesdays. The exhibition invites visitors to slow down, to notice the quiet details, and to remember that art is not only for the eyes, but for the soul. That Miyabi's art is to be felt, not only seen.
